The Floral of the Story

Founded in 2015 by sibling duo Courtney and Jeff Szymkiw, Detroit Design Co. is an event floral and design studio serving Metro Detroit and beyond. We specialize in weddings and corporate events, but welcome any opportunity to collaborate on new projects. At DDCo., we create spaces worth celebrating—whether it be at your home, business, or special event.

After a decade of honing her craft in flower shops, Courtney felt a desire to use her knowledge and passion to start her own design studio. She found a creative partner in her brother Jeff, whose graphic design background and eye for detail made him a natural fit. Together, we’ve developed a modern, organic, and refined aesthetic that is Detroit Design Co.

By mixing fresh blooms, lush greens, and interesting textures, we set ourselves apart from the monotony of traditional floral design. We love experimenting with color, movement, and composition to create unique looks for any occasion.

Over the years, DDCo. has expanded to include event design, holiday styling, planterscapes, and staging.
